This weight loss salad recipe is easy to make at home and inexpensive and made with easily available ingredients, I used seasonal foods and the Indian style hummus (with chickpeas) will give the much needed protein and hence it is a filling & healthy salad for weight loss. Replace your dinner with this salad and lose weight fast especially if you have thyroid, pcos, diabetes, or hormonal issues. The cold pressed coconut oil is a must in this salad. You can use leafy vegetables like spinach, lettuce, kale, parsley, or coriander leaves instead of moringa leaves.
boiled chickpea/channa: 1 cup
garlic: 2 cloves (use desi variety)
pink Himalayan salt: as needed
turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
black pepper powder: 1/4 tsp
Virgin coconut oil: 1 tbsp
Amchur/dry mango powder: 1/4 tsp
chaat masala: 1/4 tsp
1 sprig curry leaves
water as needed to blend: about 1/4 cup
roasted jeera powder: 1/4 tsp
roasted sesame seeds: 3/4 tsp
red chilli flakes: 1/3 tsp or as needed
virgin coconut oil: 1 tsp
this salad recipe will give you a glowing skin especially because of the cold pressed coconut oil, eat light at dinner and get glowing 🙂
Use salt as minimal as possible.
soak channa overnight and pressure cook until done, to use in this recipe.
you can use raw veggies like radish (mooli), lauki (bottle gourd), beetroot etc or any seasonal veggies of the place you live in.
Cold pressed virgin coconut oil and sesame seeds are a must in this recipe.
